Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights activist, author as well as a model and actress. Ali MacGraw is known for films such as Love Story, Goodbye Columbus and The Getaway. Her desire to be an artist was inspired by her upbringing in an New York family of artists. Her first job was as a photographer's assistant before moving on to modeling and acting. She won her the Golden Globe Award in 1990 for being a promising actress. MacGraw quickly became famous in the year 1970 following her hit movie Love Story. She was nominated for an Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. After just three short films MacGraw was named one of the most successful women in box office history. In 1972 her hand-footprints and signatures were recorded at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. The other films she's appeared in are The Getaway Convoy Players as and the television miniseries The Winds of War. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography of hers, was released. MacGraw was married three times.
