Zoe-perry

Perry is Perry is a Chicago native who was born to Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. She made her first appearances on television as Jackie Harris, a character played by her mother in her role on the ABC comedy Roseanne. Her parents did not allow her to start acting by her parents until adulthood, as they feared the strain it might result in. Perry she was shy for acting in school, began to perform at Northwestern University because she wanted to make new acquaintances. Following her graduation, Perry moved in New York to search for TV work, landing a few roles in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent but homesickness brought the actress back to California where she found theater work. She and her mother starred on Broadway with her in The Other Place, in 2013. Perry was in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie and Kevin McKidd. This was presented in the West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. In 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family. In 2017, she was a part-time character in ABC's thriller about politics Scandal in which her father was the main character. She played an older Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon. This spin-off show from CBS's The Big Bang Theory was an additional portrayal that was younger of her mother. She was cast in the role despite her close relationship with the character's family.
