Lisa Olivia Munn grew up in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid lived in Vietnam with Chinese ancestry while Winston Barrett Munn's family has origins deep within the American South. Her parents separated when she was just two years old and she was raised by her mother and stepfather, a member of the United States Air Force. The majority of her childhood was spent in Tokyo, Japan, even although the family moved often. At the time, she appeared in several local theater productions. In later years, she became a Japanese model. After the family returned home to United States, Olivia moved to Los Angeles to pursue her ambition of becoming an actor. Then, after some minor roles on TV series that featured Hawaii lense (such as Beyond the Break), she was cast in the show Mily Acuna. She was also offered Rob Schneider's receptionist on Big Stan.
